Wash & care
At Lalaby we create timeless pieces made to be worn and reused from child to child and generation to generation.
With the right care, you can extend the life of your garments while making a more conscious choice for the environment.

COTTON
Cotton is durable, breathable, and easy to care for – perfect for everyday wear.
How to care for your cotton garments:
Wash at 30°C
Always turn garments inside out before washing
Use a gentle detergent
Avoid tumble drying to prevent shrinkage and preserve shape
Lalaby tip:
Sometimes, simply airing your garments is enough
Washing less helps maintain quality and reduce environmental impact

CASHMERE
How to care for your cashmere garments:
Wash only when necessary – cashmere is naturally self-cleansing
Refresh by airing the garment regularly
Wash in cold water using a wool or hand-wash cycle
Use a detergent suitable for wool
After washing:
Do not wring or twist the garment. Gently press out excess water using a towel.
Lay flat to dry to maintain its shape
Never use a tumble dryer
Lalaby tip:
Store cashmere folded (not on hangers) to keep its shape
Use a cashmere comb or fabric razor to gently remove pilling and keep it looking refined. If you are using a fabric razor, do it carefully and place it on a flat surface to minimise the risk of making holes .
